Vehicle: 2005 GMC 1500 4x4 Extra Cab Pick-up
When Kyle “K-Daddy” Gann owner of K-Daddyz Kustomz in Bakersfield, CA 661.631.1797 wanted to lift his 2005 GMC 1500 4x4, he knew it was getting flames and it was getting lifted by Pat Gerber of Shocker Motorsports. This was Kyle’s first 4x4 truck and knowing that it was going to SEMA it needed to be clean. Kyle dropped of his GMC at Shocker Motorsports sporting a flame job like no other two weeks before SEMA. Seeing this truck stock was not cool. Keeping up with Shocker Motorsports motto “Turn Your Stocker Into A Shocker”, Pat called up Justin Lambert at Cognito Motorsports and ordered up a 10-12” suspension system with the entire Cognito arsenal. The 10-12” Cognito Front Suspension Kit features a tubular design for that race truck look, Dual Shock Hoops, Tubular Upper Control Arms, Heavy Duty Tie Rods, Heavy Duty Idler Pivot Assembly, Custom Ladder Style Traction Bars, and Parallel Rear Shock Mounts. Shocker Motorsports laid everything out and began getting everything ready for powder coating. Red and silver was the theme colors and everything was coated front to rear. The color scheme was definitely a hot choice and went very well with the flamed paint design. We installed 4.56 Ring & Pinions with the Auburn Limited Slip Unit in the rear to handle the 38x15.50R20 Toyo M/T which were wrapped on huge 20x10 Weld Racing Wheels. A Gibson cat back exhaust system was installed for added horsepower. Rotora Brake Kits were added to this monster for the ultimate stopping power. Shocker Motorsports added the Bestop AMP Research electric step system to get into this monster. Once Kyle got his truck back to his shop, the cutting tools were fired up and a huge rag top was installed to make this monster an official K-Daddy Truck. The “K-Daddyz Kustomz” Project went to the 2005 SEMA Las Vegas and turned many heads even though it was not the biggest truck their but it had style and functionality. This is Kyle’s daily driver so you can imagine the head turns he gets Rollin’ around town. This project is definitely one to be noticed. |
